Encinitas incorporated in 1986, drawing together the towns of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Leucadia, Olivenhain, and old & new Encinitas. The old towns were encouraged to keep their identities and frequently you'll run across brochures or news articles that talk about Cardiff, Leucadia, or Olivenhain as if each stood alone. These are now neighborhoods of Encinitas. The Coastal areas of Cardiff, Encinitas and Leucadia have some great ocean views. Olivenhain is known for ranches and larger lots and has a rural feel. The City of Encinitas includes: Encinitas - 92024, Cardiff-by-the-Sea - 92007, Olivenhain - 92024, and Leucadia - 92024.  

Dennis and Sunshine have lived in Encinitas since 1994 and are very involved in the community. They were awarded EncinitasChamber of Commerce Ambassadors of the Year in 2004 and 2000. Dennis is past president of the Encinitas Lions Club.  They have been consistent top producers in the Carlsbad office of RE/MAX BY-THE-SEA.
